The Tasmanian School Psychology Association (TSPA) is a branch of the Australian Psychologists and Counsellors in Schools Association (APACS). TSPA was formed in 2012, having previously been the Tasmanian chapter of the Australian Guidance and Counselling Association.
It is the Tasmanian professional association for School Psychologists directly supports and advocates the interest of School Psychologists in Tasmania. As well as provides a range of networking, professional development and peer supervision opportunities for itβs members.
TSPA's logo incorporates the colours of the Tasmanian Blue Gum, representing a uniquely Tasmanian association for School Psychologists.
Why should I join?
-
TSPA offers itβs members an annual workshop series, which include 4x webinars (one a term) on topics that are relevant to our work. These are recorded and circulated for anyone unable to watch them live.
-
TSPA Talks is a program designed to offer professional peer consultation and networking opportunities for our members. These sessions are also held once a term and members are invited to join in on a themed discussion/consult and then stay and connect over a coffee or drink.
-
As TSPA is a member of APACS we advocate on behalf of our Tasmanian members. Our members also have access to various other free or discounted materials and special offers throughout the year.
-
We strive to keep our membership costs affordable and have members feel that they are getting value. Membership is paid annually.
-
We are a passionate and inclusive community who are always looking at ways to connect and support our members. Our committee is always open to feedback and new committee members joining.
